Unable to acclimate to the reality of interviewing the man many consider the greatest footballer of all time, Argentinean journalist Pablo Giralt gave an appreciative pat on the knee Messi and couldn’t hold back his tears.
Taken by the adulation and unsure of how to react at first, Messi drops back and laughs, before sitting up again and consoling the journalist.
“I’m a boy who has always dreamed about it, but I never thought I would be lucky enough to be the person who could tell him my stories and express my love for his career. Thank you,” Pablo Giralt later shared on social media.
